Gathering Song
God of This Place (Leonard)
Verse 1
Where can I go from Your spirit?
Where can I hide from Your presence, God?
If I go up to the heavens
You are there,
yeah, You are there.
Verse 2
Lord, when I'm lost in the darkness,
when I arise with the breaking dawn,
I put my hope in the promise
that You are there,
yeah, You are there.
Chorus
You are the God of this place.
Where I stand, heaven invades.
Every worry, every trouble that I face today,
You're the anchor,
You're the rock that will always stay.
You are the God,
the God of this place.
Verse 3
You're in control every moment,
faithful to never leave my side.
Lord, there is peace in the knowing
that You are there,
yeah, You are there.
Chorus
You are the God of this place.
Where I stand, heaven invades.
Every worry, every trouble that I face today,
You're the anchor,
You're the rock that will always stay.
You are the God,
the God of this place.
Bridge
Anywhere, anywhere,
everywhere I go
You are there, You are there.
I've never been alone.
Anywhere, anywhere,
everywhere I go
You are there, You are there.
I've never been alone.
Chorus
You are the God of this place.
Where I stand, heaven invades.
Every worry, every trouble that I face today,
You're the anchor,
You're the rock that will always stay.
You are the God,
the God of this place.
Bridge
Anywhere, anywhere,
everywhere I go
You are there, You are there.
I've never been alone.
Anywhere, anywhere,
everywhere I go
You are there, You are there.
I've never been alone.

Affirmation of Faith
from I Timothy 2:5-6; 1:15, 3:16 UMH 889
Leader:
There is one God
and there is one mediator, Christ Jesus,
who came as a ransom for all,
to whom we testify.
People:
This saying is sure
and worthy of full acceptance:
That Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners,
and was manifested in the flesh,
vindicated in the Spirit,
seen by angels,
proclaimed among the nations,
believed in throughout the world,
taken up in glory.
Great indeed is the mystery of the gospel. Amen.
Worship through Song
Gratitude (Bethel)
Verse 1
All my words fall short; I got nothing new.
How could I express all my gratitude?
Verse 2
I could sing these songs, as I often do,
but every song must end and You never do.
Chorus
So I throw up my hands and praise You again and again,
'cause all that I have is a hallelujah, hallelujah.
And I know it's not much, but I've nothing else fit for a king
except for a heart singing, Hallelujah, hallelujah.
Verse 3
I've got one response, I've got just one move:
With my arms stretched wide I will worship You.
Chorus
So I throw up my hands and praise You again and again,
'cause all that I have is a hallelujah, hallelujah.
And I know it's not much, but I've nothing else fit for a king
except for a heart singing, Hallelujah, hallelujah.
Bridge (3x)
Come on, my soul, oh, don't you get shy on me.
Lift up your song, 'cause you've got a lion inside of those lungs.
Get up and praise the Lord.
Chorus
So I throw up my hands and praise You again and again,
'cause all that I have is a hallelujah, hallelujah.
And I know it's not much, but I've nothing else fit for a king
except for a heart singing, Hallelujah, hallelujah.
Congregational Prayer & Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
forever. Amen.
Great Are You Lord (Leonard, Jordan)

You bring light to the darkness.
You give hope.
You restore ev'ry heart that is broken.
And great are You, Lord.
Chorus
It's Your breath in our lungs,
so we pour out our praise,
we pour out our praise.
It's Your breath in our lungs,
so we pour out our praise to You only.
Verse
You give life.
You are love.
You bring light to the darkness.
You give hope.
You restore ev'ry heart that is broken.

And all the earth will shout Your praise.
Our hearts will cry, these bones will sing,
Great are You, Lord!
Chorus (2x)
It's Your breath in our lungs,
so we pour out our praise,
we pour out our praise.
It's Your breath in our lungs,
so we pour out our praise to You only.
Scripture Reading
2 Timothy 3:14-17 (NRSV) [Read in Context]
14But as for you, continue in what you have learned and firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it 15and how from childhood you have known sacred writings that are able to instruct you for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17so that the person of God may be proficient, equipped for every good work.
The word of God for the people of God.
All: Thanks be to God!
