Worship through Song

We Praise You (Maverick City)

Verse 1
Let praise be a weapon
that silences the enemy.
Let praise be a weapon
that conquers all anxiety.
Let it rise, let praise arise.

Verse 2
We sing Your name in the dark
and it changes ev'rything.
We sing with all we are
and we claim Your victory.
Let it rise, let praise arise.

Chorus
We'll see you break down ev'ry wall,
we'll watch the giants fall,
for fear cannot survive when we praise You.
The God of breakthrough's on our side,
forever lift Him high,
with all creation cry,
God, we praise You.

Verse 3
Let faith be the song
that overcomes the raging sea.
Let faith be the song
that calms the storm inside of me.
Let it rise, let faith arise.

Chorus
We'll see you break down ev'ry wall,
we'll watch the giants fall,
for fear cannot survive when we praise You.
The God of breakthrough's on our side,
forever lift Him high,
with all creation cry,
God, we praise You.

Bridge (4x)
This is what living looks like.
This is what freedom feels like.
This is what Heaven sounds like.
We praise You. We praise You.

Chorus
We'll see you break down ev'ry wall,
we'll watch the giants fall,
for fear cannot survive when we praise You.
The God of breakthrough's on our side,
forever lift Him high,
with all creation cry,
God, we praise You.

Offering

At the Cross (Love Ran Red) (Tomlin)

Verse 1
There's a place where mercy reigns
and never dies,
there's a place where streams of grace
flow deep and wide;
where all the love I've ever found
comes like a flood, comes flowing down.

Chorus
At the cross, at the cross,
I surrender my life.
I'm in awe of You,
I'm in awe of You.
Where Your love ran red,
and my sin washed bright.
I owe all to You,
I owe all to You, Jesus.

Verse 2
There's a place where sin and shame
are powerless,
where my heart has peace with God
and forgiveness;
where all the love I've ever found
comes like a flood, comes flowing down.

Chorus
At the cross, at the cross,
I surrender my life.
I'm in awe of You,
I'm in awe of You.
Where Your love ran red,
and my sin washed bright.
I owe all to You,
I owe all to You, Jesus.

Bridge
Here my hope is found, here on holy ground;
here I bow down, here I bow down.
Here, arms open wide,
here You saved my life;
here I bow down, here I bow.

Chorus (2x)
At the cross, at the cross,
I surrender my life.
I'm in awe of You,
I'm in awe of You.
Where Your love ran red,
and my sin washed bright.
I owe all to You,
I owe all to You, Jesus.

Scripture Reading

Colossians 3:12-15 (NRSV) [Read in Context]

12Therefore, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. 13Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. 14Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. 15And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.

The word of God for the people of God.

All: Thanks be to God!

Communion

Leader: We are called to the table, to share the juice and bread,
I want you to remember me, Jesus softly said.

All: We come to the table.

Leader: We think about the mystery — the words that Jesus said,
And how He gave His life for us as we break the bread.

All: We come to the table.

Leader: Gathered at the table, God's Holy Spirit here,
We drink the cup of blessing, the bread of life we share.

All: We come to the table.

Leader: Together in communion, one family — young and old,
We celebrate together, as ancient words are told.

All: We come to the table.

Leader: There's room at the table, no matter how we feel,
Jesus meets us here in this holy meal.

All: We come to the table.

Leader: We rise from the table, forgiven, loved, and free.
We leave to be the people who God calls us to be.

All: We come to the table.

Leader: Gathered at the table, surrounded by God's grace,
We are one Christian family, in every time and place.

All: We come to the table.

Please repeat the mystery of faith after me:

Leader: Christ has died;

All: Christ has died;

Leader: Christ is risen;

All: Christ is risen;

Leader: Christ will come again.

All: Christ will come again.

The Blessing:
Pour out your Holy Spirit on everybody here,
and bless these gifts of bread and juice.
As we eat and pray,
let us remember that Jesus saved us
and that we need to share that good news
with the whole world.
Through Your Son Jesus Christ,
with the Holy Spirit in Your holy Church,
all good things are Yours,
almighty Father,
now and forever.
Amen.

Please repeat the Lord's Prayer after me:

Leader: Our Father, who art in heaven,

All: Our Father, who art in heaven,

Leader: hallowed be Thy name.

All: hallowed be Thy name.

Leader: Thy kingdom come,

All: Thy kingdom come,

Leader: Thy will be done

All: Thy will be done

Leader: on earth as it is in heaven.

All: on earth as it is in heaven.

Leader: Give us this day our daily bread.

All: Give us this day our daily bread.

Leader: And forgive us our trespasses,

All: And forgive us our trespasses,

Leader: as we forgive those who trespass against us.

All: as we forgive those who trespass against us.

Leader: And lead us not into temptation,

All: And lead us not into temptation,

Leader: but deliver us from evil.

All: but deliver us from evil.

Leader: For Thine is the kingdom,

All: For Thine is the kingdom,

Leader: and the power,

All: and the power,

Leader: and the glory, forever.

All: and the glory, forever.

Leader: Amen.

All: Amen.
